Sydney, Australia, 28 November 2013 – It’s been just over two weeks since Ross and Laura returned from their lucrative stint at the 2013 American Film Market in Santa Monica, and the team’s efforts proved very successful.
We introduced two new Aussie films at AFM: Skin Deep – an indie drama by award-winning writer/actor Monica Zanetti, and Safe Water 3D – a surfie-horror flick that will begin shooting in 2014.
Both films drummed up some key media conversations, with stories appearing in Screen International, The Business of Film Daily, filmfestivals.com, Yahoo, Film Ink , Movie Pilot and Variety amongst others.
Another outcome from AFM 2013 is that ScreenLaunch is now working with award-winning American director Christina Beck on her films Perfection and Dig Me.
Perfection is a love story about society’s plastic surgery addiction, and Dig Me is a sex comedy that ScreenLaunch will help finance.
Perhaps the most noticeable (and welcome) difference at this year’s AFM from ScreenLaunch were our larger posters and our well-stocked bar fridge that was enjoyed by all visitors.
